     Although the park was quite popular for a number of years, the beginning of its demise came on the night of 21 November 1933, when the fun house burnt down and was never rebuilt. The Great Depression and the nation's changing tastes in amusements took a toll on it. By the outbreak of World War II most of Electric Park's rides had disappeared and all that remained was the ballroom and restaurant.
